New Velstretch Belts

.

velstretch
Velstretch belts are a soft elastic that has a exposed pull for easy waist adjustment. A piece of velcro easily attaches to the pull where ever you want it on the belt. This makes for the perfect fit and comfort. Many people like the velstretch belts because they can be easily adjusted and you can get a lot of growth out of them..

CWD Show!

The show was

awesome!  For those who

 have had the opportunity

 to attend I think you

will agree that this

 conference offers

 something for everyone.

For us it's been amazing watching

how this conference has grown

since we first attended back in 2001.  The conference at that

point was a lot smaller.  We have gone back every year and

watched how more and more sessions, celebrities and

companies have joined.  Making this conference the ultimate in

conferences for families of children with diabetes.  Greeting

old friends and making new friends every year has been

wonderful for all of us.  Nikki was especially happy to see her

friend from last year Carmen and her new friend Alexis.  We

were especially happy to be able to meet two of our Florida

Pump Consultants, Rebecca and Luann.

New York, NY: July 14, 2008 -- On Tuesday, July 1, Diabetes Talkfest (www.diabetestalkfest.com) sponsored the first-ever CGMS Denial Day online rally to raise awareness about how Insurance Companies are repeatedly denying claims for continuous glucose monitors.

Due to the overwhelming positive response to this effort, Diabetes Talkfest launched the CGMS Denial Campaign. That will be sent to all major Health Insurance Providers. The goal is to get at least 2000 signatures by November 14, 2008-World Diabetes Day. Within the first week of the campaign nearly 500 people signed the petition.

"We have come together as a community, we are Raising Our Voices, We want coverage." said Gina Capone, founder of Diabetestalkfest.com.

-----------------------------------------------

To: all health insurance providers,

The continuous glucose monitoring system (hereinafter CGMS) has been found to be an effective tool to detect impending hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia in patients before a crisis situation occurs. This technology is available today and has the ability to increase the quality of life of patients with diabetes. Every patient and physician team should have the ability to determine which persons are most likely to benefit from the use of the latest technology. I implore you to cease denying coverage for financial reasons under the guise that CGMS is "experimental". CGMS is no longer experimental and has received FDA approval after extensive research on the products.

I am signing my name, providing my email address, providing comments regarding why I support this petition and am also indicating in which state I reside. As a person who has been refused access, I am also indicating which insurance company has unfairly denied me the coverage for this life saving tool for treatment of my diabetes.

Even if I have not been directly affected by diabetes or CGMS denial, I am signing this petition as an indication of my support for patients with diabetes to be given the opportunity through insurance coverage, to improve the quality of their lives with CGMS technology.

Sincerely,
The Undersigned

Lahle A. Wolfe

Ms. Wolfe is the original founder of iPump and is largely responsible for the impressive growth of the organization.  In less than two years, she has turned iPump into the largest, and only, full-service, diabetes assistance organization serving the entire United States. To date, iPump has received nearly one million dollars in in-kind donations and has provided assistance to thousands of people in 46 states.

Ms. Wolfe is the first, and only person, to successfully partner a nonprofit organization with an insulin pump company to facilitate the recertification of used insulin pumps, that are then distributed for free to diabetics in need.  No other organization currently has this privilege, or serves this need.

Ms. Wolfe is the owner and president of Islets of Hope (IOH), a health-on-the-net certified diabetes information website.  The website lists thousands of legal and financial resources for people with diabetes, and allows other business owners living with diabetes to advertise for free on the site.
